Lapita is a proudly owned family enterprise. Our brand name shares the same heritable sentiments of an ancient seafaring people who once sailed the South Pacific Seas and called our islands home. Among their treasured possessions, they brought with them manioc, taro, bananas, and canarium (Nagae) nuts as they ventured with their families to new beginnings and adventures.
Today our products hail from the rural settings of our islands, whose families harvest the nuts and root vegetables and trade to improve their livelihood, resembling what the Lapita people have done in the past. We take pride in knowing our products benefit our rural families and share a profound piece of our Melanesian culture.
